The three answers a club address can give

What you seeWhat it means
The club's siteEverything is fine
404 — club not foundNo club owns that address
Temporarily unavailableA club owns it, but it is not open

Both of the last two are deliberate answers, not crashes.

404 — club not found

Nobody owns that address. Usually a typo, or a DNS record pointing at SwimWin for a club that was never set up.

SwimWin deliberately does not serve its marketing page here. A stray DNS record should not quietly turn into an advertisement on somebody else's address.

Temporarily unavailable

A club owns the address, but the club is not open to the public right now:

  • It is still being set up
  • It is suspended
  • It has been archived
  • The domain has been retired

This is deliberately not a 404, because a 404 on an address that used to be a club's poisons that club's search results for months. It says "come back later" and means it.

If this is your club and you did not expect it, contact SwimWin support.

Everything is slow or half-loading

If the club site loads but signing in fails, that is usually the second hostname — the API address — being missing or misconfigured. See Using your own domain.

Who to tell

  • Your club's address is wrong or down — SwimWin support.
  • You cannot get into your own account — see I can't sign in first; it is usually the address.
